LATIN-19 (Latinx Advocacy Team & Interdisciplinary Network for COVID-19) is a voluntary organization consisting of leaders and allies of the comunidad latina in North Carolina. The team was originally convened by Duke University clinical faculty at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic (March 2020) to discuss needs that would be faced during the crisis and opportunities to make a positive difference. The group quickly evolved to include a diverse coalition of collaborators from multiple sectors including health, government, education, business, faith-based organizations, media, grassroots organizations, public policy, law, economics and community activism.
